Spartan Orientation Coordinators
Spartan Orientation Coordinators are undergraduate students who were previous Spartan Orientation Captains and are now serving as 3rd year orientation experts and coordinators for the SOAR program.

Spartan Orientation Staff Captains
Spartan Orientation Staff Captains are chosen to serve in this leadership role following at least one year of experience as an SOS member and a competitive selection process. Captains take on additional responsibility by assisting in the SOS training program, making daily SOAR assignments, facilitating presentations, and supervising the SOS. Two captains are dedicated to the student SOAR program, while one captain and an assistant are dedicated to the Parent and Family SOAR program.

Spartan Orientation Staff
Spartan Orientation Staff leaders are chosen from hundreds of applicants to serve in this very selective and visible role on campus. The SOS begin their contract with the Office of Orientation in January, attend a regional conference, participate in 3 spring training sessions and 2 weeks of intensive training before SOAR begins. Following summer SOAR, the SOS return to work the August SOAR program, Welcome Weekend, Family Weekend and finally, January SOAR.
