Family Weekend is held each year during UNCG’s FallFest and we invite all Spartan families
to attend this exciting weekend with their students! 
Family Weekend 2008 will be held September 26th & 27th.
Take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy UNCG with your student!

Family Weekend event highlights are listed below.

Friday, September 26 Family Weekend Check-in EUC Commons, 4:30-7:30pm Check-in and receive your Family Weekend materials. College and School Receptions 5:30-7:30pm Connect with faculty, students, and alumni in your student’s College or School. Bryan School of Business and Economics – Room 416, Bryan Building Department of Counseling and Educational Development – EUC, Kirkland Room College of Arts & Sciences (see below) English, German & Russian, History, Romance Languages, International & Global Studies – Humanities Lounge, Beverly and Irene Moore Humanities & Research Administration Building Biology, Physics & Astronomy, Computer Science – 3rd Floor Lobby, Patricia A. Family Weekend Chancellor’s Brunch 10:00am EUC Cone Ballroom Join other Spartan families for brunch while you enjoy a program that includes music, remarks from UNCG’s Chancellor, and a keynote address from Dr. Shelly Brown-Jeffy, Assistant Professor of Sociology. Explore UNCG! 11:00am-2:00pm Various Locations Choose from a variety of programs and activities. There’s something for everyone! Children’s Festival and Health Celebration – EUC West Lawn, 11am-1pm Children’s College – EUC Azalea Room, 11:45am Historic UNCG Tour – Departs from Jackson Library Steps, 11:45am Spartan Scavenger Hunt – Departs from EUC, Maple Room, 11:45am Children’s Concert: Big Bang Boom – EUC West Lawn, 12-2pm Weatherspoon Art Gallery Open House – Weatherspoon Art Gallery, 1-5pm Family Weekend at Spartan Village 2pm EUC West Lawn This outdoor festival features music, food and drink vendors, inflatables, and more! You can use the 5 food and drink tickets included in your Family Weekend registration for a hot dog, hamburger, cotton candy, snow cone, or other tasty treat. You will want to be sure to stop by the Parent & Family Programs tent and vote on the best painted pumpkin from Children’s College. Take time to enjoy all Spartan Village has to offer! The deadline to register for Family Weekend has been extended to Friday, September 19. Don't miss this great opportunity to spend time with your student while enjoying UNCG!
We offer both full weekend and one-day registrations for Family Weekend. Details about registration fees, what is included in each package, payment methods, and the cancellation policy are listed below.

Full Weekend Your registration includes: College & School Receptions, Dinner and a Movie on the EUC Lawn, the Chancellor’s Brunch, Explore UNCG! Activities, Spartan Village (including5 food and drink tickets), parking, and Family Weekend give-a-ways and prizes.	$50	$30	FREE
Friday Only Your registration includes: College & School Receptions, Dinner and a Movie on the EUC Lawn, parking, and Family Weekend and give-a-ways and prizes.	$30	$20	FREE
Saturday Only Your registration includes: the Chancellor’s Brunch, Explore UNCG! Activities, Spartan Village (including 5 food and drink tickets), parking, and Family Weekend give-a-ways and prizes.	$30	$20	FREE

Additionally, if you would like your student to enjoy Friday’s dinner and/or Saturday’s brunch with you, you can purchase student meal tickets for these events. The meal tickets are $10 for each meal. Students are invited to attend all other Family Weekend events with their families free of charge.

Payment Methods

Online credit card payments are preferred and may by made through the Family Weekend registration site. However, checks and money orders are also accepted and should be made payable to “UNCG Orientation & Family Programs”, and mailed to:

All Family Weekend registration fees are required in advance and must be received in our office on or before Monday, September 15. If you mail your payment, we recommend that you mail it at least two weeks in advance. If your payment is not received by September 15, your registration will be cancelled.

 

Cancellation Policy

All Family Weekend cancellation requests must be made on or before Monday, September 15 in order to receive a refund. Family Weekend registration fees will NOT be refunded if cancellations are made after September 15. To cancel your Family Weekend registration, contact the Office of Orientation & Family Programs at families@uncg.edu or (336)334-5231.
