
The UNCG Office of Orientation & Family Programs serves as a bridge into college life for new students and their families by giving them the tools and support necessary to make a successful transition into the UNCG community. The office strives to prepare new students for the academic rigor and co-curricular opportunities of a university setting, to instill the rich traditions and culture of UNCG, and to empower them to make the most of their collegiate career. The Office of Orientation & Family Programs strives to provide and promote an environment that appreciates and respects all members of our diverse community. Recognizing the vital role families play in supporting the academic success of their students, the office invites families into partnership through programs, services, and resources designed to optimize students’ overall learning experience. Additionally, Orientation & Family Programs provides dynamic leadership development opportunities for continuing students and nurtures programs that recognize and encourage academic excellence.
